How to Complete your Site Orientation
Complete your site orientation to review important safety information and meet site access requirements. This process helps the project team verify that you are informed, compliant, and approved to work on site.
Before you start
You’ll usually complete your orientation in one of these ways:
- Before you arrive (via a link your company or the GC sends you), or
- On-site (by scanning a QR code at the gate/trailer/kiosk)
Step-by-step:
What happens after you submit?
Depending on how the jobsite is set up:
- You may be approved automatically, or
- The site team may need to review and approve your submission
Common Issues
“I can’t find my company in the list”
-
Don’t pick a random company.
-
Ask your foreman or site team to confirm the right option (or add your company).
“I picked the wrong Visitor Type/Company”
-
If you haven’t submitted your orientation yet, go back and correct it.
-
If you already submitted, tell your foreman or site team as soon as possible. The General Contractor site team can change this for you.
“My upload won’t go through”
-
Check you have a stable connection.
-
Try again (or close and reopen the page/app).
-
If it still fails, ask the site team to complete a Host Check-In on their device .
“I’m stuck and need help”
-
Ask your foreman or the General Contractor site team. They can tell you exactly what’s required for that job site.
Do I need the app?
Not always.
-
Many sites allow you to complete orientation and sign in without downloading the app.
-
If you’ll be returning to the jobsite, downloading the app can make repeat visits faster. You'll also be able to view safety documents, recieve site-wide announcements, and make daily check-ins and check-outs easier.
