Site Settings
Site Settings control how an individual jobsite operates. From here, you can manage check-in rules, QR code settings, automated attendance, offsite options, visitor types, and other core site details. Most US workflows only require a small number of key settings. Leave other options unchanged unless a customer has a specific requirement.
What this means
- Site Settings = per-jobsite configuration (not company-wide).
- They control worker check-in/out behavior, QR code behavior, and what information is required during check-in.
When you’ll use this
- When setting up a new site (especially from a template)
- When troubleshooting check-in issues or QR code flow issues
- When a customer changes job site requirements (location, attendance rules, offsite onboarding)
Step-by-step
Common Issues
Offsite settings tab is missing
What to check
- Location Required Mode may need to be set to Optional for the offsite configuration to appear
What to do
- Switch to Optional, configure offsite, then confirm settings are behaving as intended
Too many approvals triggered on every check-in
What to check
- Check-in approval setting may be enabled
What to do
- For most US sites, keep check-in approval disabled unless the customer explicitly requires it
QR code poster is wrong or doesn’t scan correctly
What to check
- You may be viewing the wrong site, or the QR image was resized/distorted in a template
What to do
- Re-open Camera QR for that site and regenerate the poster; test-scan before printing
Why this matters
- These settings directly affect whether workers can check in smoothly on day one
- Correct settings reduce support tickets and prevent missing attendance
Need help?
If you’re unsure which settings to change for a specific customer, contact your foreman or GC site team to confirm the jobsite’s intended check-in method (QR, Kiosk, host-led check-in, automated attendance) and any location or security requirements.
