Add a New Subcontractor in Breadcrumb
You can create a supplier (subcontractor or company) in Breadcrumb to make them available for site assignment, onboarding, and document management. Once added, the supplier can be selected across your Breadcrumb sites and workflows.
What this means
- A “Supplier” is the company a worker is checking in under (and the company you may request documents from).
- Adding a supplier to your Supplier Directory does not always add them to every jobsite automatically—you may still need to add them to the specific site/project.
When you’ll use this
- When a subcontractor isn’t in your directory yet (or isn’t syncing from Procore).
- When you need to invite a subcontractor to upload documents or start onboarding.
Requirements
To create and manage suppliers, you must be a Company Host or Site Host. If you don't have the required access, please contact your Breadcrumb CSM.

Common Issues
Supplier doesn’t appear at check-in on a specific jobsite
What to check
-
They may be added to the global Supplier Directory but not added to that site’s supplier list.
What to do
-
Add them to the site’s Companies/Suppliers list.
Duplicate supplier created later via Procore sync
What to check
-
The supplier may not have a matching unique identifier (or it doesn’t match Procore exactly).
What to do
-
Before creating in both systems, align the identifier value you’ll use for matching to reduce duplicates.
Why this matters
- Keeps check-ins clean (workers pick the correct company).
- Enables document and onboarding workflows without waiting for Procore directory updates.
Need help?
Contact support with the supplier’s company name and whether this customer is using Procore (and if yes, whether they want the supplier to end up in Procore later).
